TOOLS NEEDED: Lightener, Developer, Color Bowl, 2 Brushes, Gloves, Clips, Plastic Wrap
- For on scalp use: Mix ratio of 1 oz. Argan Oil Cream Lightener with 2 oz. of 20 volume developer (10, 20, 30 or 40-volume) in a non-metallic bowl.
- For off scalp use: Mix ratio of 1 oz. Argan Oil Cream Lightener with 2 oz. of 10, 20, 30 or 40-volume developer in a non-metallic bowl.
- Put on gloves.
- Always perform a strand test first.
- Section out from ear to ear, leaving this hair down and clip all remaining hair away.
- Gather a sub section from hair that’s out holding the ends taught.
- Apply lightener with brush to the midshaft, down to ends.
- Be sure to saturate all sections you paint.
- Using a dry brush, blend lightener upwards, leaving 2-3-inches of your root.
- The more root you leave, the more lived-in the result will be.
- Use fingers to blend with a scissoring motion to make sure lightener is evenly distributed.
- Wrap saturated sections in plastic wrap.
- Continue to section out hair, as you move up the head while gathering sub sections, using this application technique.
- Process up to 50 minutes, until desired shade of blonde is achieved.
- Shampoo and condition with Moisture Repair Shampoo and Conditioner, and style hair.
HOT TIP: If you want a lived-in look, leave some sections alone so regrowth looks more natural.
